A group of enthusiastic postgraduate (PG) students from our institute undertook an educational visit to the prestigious CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune on 17th June 2025. The visit was organized under the academic coordination and guidance of Dr. A. D. Shinde.
This visit was aimed at providing students with first-hand exposure to advanced research facilities, ongoing scientific projects, and innovations in chemical and pharmaceutical sciences. During the visit, students had the opportunity to interact with leading scientists and researchers at NCL and were introduced to cutting-edge instrumentation and technologies used in chemical research and development.
Key highlights of the visit included demonstrations in analytical chemistry laboratories, insights into green chemistry practices, and an overview of NCL's contributions to national and international research initiatives.
Dr. Shinde emphasized the importance of such visits in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. He stated, “Interacting with real-time research environments helps students broaden their vision and inspires innovation in their academic pursuits.”
The visit was a highly informative and motivating experience, appreciated by all the participating students. It is part of the institute’s ongoing efforts to enhance experiential learning and promote research-oriented education in the field of pharmaceutical and chemical sciences.
This visit is scheduled in coordination with TPO of Institute, Prof. V.P. Taware also well supported by Prof. Utakasha Gawade & Prof. Priyadarshani Sonawane.
